Here we go…

So. The Day is here. The Weather Gods have smiled on us (no fire required in The Guildhall); The Case is prepped, the Dwarves have got their outfits pressed, and the Doves have been spray-painted. I can finally Stop Shopping. All is Good. Wish us Luck!

Ava painted this picture of "our wedding" four days before. We are not bleeding from the mouths: on the contrary we are very happy.

Almost there: two days to go, 998 decisions down, 997 arguments resolved. Driving down to Leicester in the late afternoon sunshine very shortly.

Hen House

On Friday 11th March myself and some other old birds went to see Ibsen’s Dolls House followed by an adaptation of Strindberg’s Getting Married, produced and performed by Library Theatre. Far from the grim Scandinavian miserablism we expected (& I had cynically programmed) this was a joyous and cathartic affair. As you can see from photos, we truly empathise with those “fallen women of Norway”, and I’m now casting myself as the Kristine Linde to Bob’s Krogstad. Theatre plus girlfriends equals great.

An Announcement

Me & Bob are going to get hitched. Unfashionable I know, but now they’ve cut the child benefit we’ve got to make up the difference with marriage tax gain.
